I am Indra - conference interpreter and translator from Cologne and founding member of gemeinsam dolmetschen. Despite various stays in France and Ireland, I was always drawn back to Cologne and Berlin. I lived in both cities for a long time and I feel at home there.

I love my work as an interpreter and am working a lot in the fields of art, culture and inclusion. That being said, I enjoy conferences on software development or pharmacy just as much as interpreting theater plays, author readings and panel talks on current affairs. Since 2022, I have also been working in the accessibility department of a broadcaster, where my colleagues and I strive to make media more accessible.

Some of the most impressive assignments for me were the awarding of a human rights prize and the meeting of an international women's rights committee. Not least because I was deeply impressed by the participants and their commitment.

Apart from interpreting, my great passion is traveling. I've already been able to travel five continents with my backpack, though I now prefer to travel with my own camper - usually in combination with a good audiobook for longer journeys.
